The closing date for nominations is June 24th 2018.
Safeguarding Award
Safeguarding is about protecting children and adults from abuse, harm or neglect and educating those around them to recognise the signs and dangers. One of the fundamental principles of safeguarding is that it is everyone’s responsibility.
Nurses and midwives active in safeguarding can be found in all areas of clinical practice, at all levels and across all sectors.
About the award: This award aims to recognise a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife who has made an outstanding contribution to the safeguarding of children and/or adults at risk under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 via a service improvement that enables protection against abuse and neglect within communities.
Who can be nominated?
A Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife who is:
• Working at any level within a service, educational or policy role within Wales
• Practising within the Independent and Third sectors, NHS, or Local Authority
